Light Graffiti vs. Street Graffiti

I like this piece of light graffiti because the colors of the lines compliment each other, and they go in many different ways, but they are all connected together if you look closely. The way the lines are shaped make it look mysterious and dark, and the brightness on the bottom of the glasses show a change in contrast through the whole piece.

This example of graffiti is amazing to me, because it looks 3-D, so you would have to have an amazing eye to catch where you would put the lines and how to make it look 3-D. It's amusing also, as it looks like there are stairs heading into a solid wall, and if someone actually thought they were stairs, they wouldn't be able to step onto them, as they weren't actually there. To make 3-D graffiti or paintings, you would need to know how to balance your perspective perfectly, to make it look realistic.







Light Graffiti and Street Graffiti are similar in the way that the art forms that they do are not similar to paintings you would see in museums. They're usually more vibrant with color, or not very elegant, but still are powerful images. Light Graffiti is different from Street Graffiti in the fact that Light Graffiti is temporary and legal, as it disappears soon, whereas Street Graffiti is illegal in some situations because they're considered vandalizing on personal property.
